“MEANS TESTING” FOR SOCIAL SECURITY? What a stupid idea! Social Security is NOT, and never has been, “welfare.” It is supposed to be “giving your own money back” to you after you reach a certain age after having the use of the money for a long time and earning interest on it, none of which is paid to the recipient. It is “government promise” that today’s politicians hope will not be remembered by those old enough to collect it, and which young people will just not know was even made. FDR hoped most people would not live long enough to collect it, but he was wrong, as are most liberals. . . . “TIME HORIZON” FOR WITHDRAWAL: What the hell does THAT mean? That’s what Bush is now insisting on calling the whole idea of withdrawal from Iraq. That’s such an obvious “spin,” I don’t even need to comment. And where did it come from? It’s patently obvious it’s not Bush’s idea. . . . THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT SOCIALISM IS! Seems like most of my arguments against socialism are stopped by one thing: ignorance. Most Americans, including some people very close to me (no more) don’t even know what socialism is! Therefore, when I talk about it, it is lost on them until I explain just what it is. That’s a powerful thing in the favor of the socialists, which I intend to change. Obama wants “change,” and I’m going to give it to him. . . . REMOVING “COMBAT TROOPS” FROM IRAQ: Obama constantly talks about “removing combat troops” from Iraq as soon as he gets into office. Combat troops represent about 50,000 out of several HUNDRED thousand people who are not prepared or equipped to fight terrorists. They’re teachers and supply people, and transportation staff. What do they do for protection from the terrorists when their “protectors” are gone? They die. Obama doesn’t seem to care. . . . WHY CALL THEM DEMOCRATS? They’re SOCIALISTS! They want to take what you EARN and give to people who DON’T earn anything because they “need” it, making their NEED a DEMAND upon what YOU earn. They tell us what they are every time they open their mouths and promote their “sharing” programs. But they “jump up and down” if you CALL them “socialists.” That’s because they know they can’t be elected DOGCATCHER if you know what they really are. . . . LAY OFF MY WIFE! That’s Obama’s position, and I’ll grant that he doesn’t say much about McCain’s wife. But I haven’t heard her say anything that could be criticized, while Obama’s wife has “big mouth” and isn’t afraid to use it. Which makes her “fair game.” He has placed many things on the “prohibited list, like his “elephant ears” and his being a socialist. But when you run for president, such criticism “goes with the territory.” If he wants us to “lay off” his wife, tell her to “shut up.” If he doesn’t want us to call him a socialist, he should stop proposing socialist “programs.”
