Running Against Bush

RUNNING AGAINST BUSH: Democrats are pushing hard to put McCain and Bush together in people’s minds. They’re pushing the idea that a vote for McCain is a vote for a Bush “third term,” as if that was a bad thing. They should be careful what they wish for. It might come back to bite them in their posterior region. . . . CONGRESS RATINGS “IN THE TANK”: (They’re less than a THIRD of Bush’s numbers) But, according to the liberal media, that “isn’t news, although whenever Bush’s numbers go down by a quarter of a percent, it’s “front-page news.” I wonder why? I guess that’s why you need people like me; to tell you what they won’t. . . . “TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH” What a load! Unless they are specifically TAILORED for “the rich,” any tax cuts made are for EVERYBODY. And I have not seen ANY “tailored for the rich” tax cuts. I HAVE seen some “tailored for the rich” tax INCREASES. . . . SHUT UP, ALREADY! I’m really getting tired of that Jared Polis ad in Denver moaning about his opponent’s “partisan attack ad,” in which he continues on to attack her! Tell me, how do you win an election without “partisan attack ads?” . . . TAKE HER SERIOUSLY: People are telling me not to take Bette Milder seriously when she slanders George Bush or Rush Limbaugh. Frankly, I’ve never found her to be very funny, and to be VERY political. I’d bet if you did a survey, you’d find she slanders conservatives a LOT more often than she does liberals. But that’s just my opinion. Somebody want to prove me wrong with something other than shouting? . . . . . . NO NEW REFINERIES: There hasn’t been a new refinery built in this country for more than THIRTY YEARS, while the demand for oil and gasoline in this country alone has INCREASED 20% or more in that time. In that 30 years the number of refineries in existence has DECREASED from 326 to 148. Less than HALF those that USED to be in existence. Where do people like Dennis Kosinich think we are going to get the fuel this country runs on? The environmental fanatics are stupid! Air a little bit cleaner just isn’t worth that.
