Complicating Things

COMPLICATING THINGS: One of the things I hate most in commenting on politics is people’s attempts to “complicate things” in order to sell something. For instance: I recently received a solicitation for a political newsletter that purported to tell me about a “coming communist threat” he called, “common-ism.” Why do we need a new word for collectivism? Why doesn’t he just SAY “collectivism.” Collectivism is at the base of ALL the “isms” that bedevil us, such as communism, socialism, Nazism (National Socialism), etc. So why not just call it what it is, instead of introducing a new name and confusing people who don’t pay attention to politics, anyway. Collectivism simply means TOTAL CONTROL of everything you do and governmental ownership (or control) of everything you own. . . . PELOSI IS DESPERATE! She’s calling the Republican attempt to get her and her accomplices “back to work” after they went on a paid five-week vacation instead of voting on a measure to allow domestic drilling so as to alleviate out fuel cost problem “a hoax.” But she knows it’s not a hoax. That’s another of her lies. Wishing to increase supply to force prices down is COMMON SENSE, not “a hoax.” . . . IT IS ALL ABOUT OIL: The liberals constantly tell us that what we did in Iraq is “all about oil” when it isn’t. But the “Russian attack” on Georgia IS “about oil, and it has become obvious as the nose on your face. Georgia wants their oil pipeline to go through Turkey while Russia wants it to go through Russia so they can control it. . . . POLIS BUYS ELECTION: Like Hillary, Jared Polis spent $5 million of his own money to “buy” an election. Unlike with Hillary, he was successful in unseating the incumbent (And they say Republican is “the party of the rich!). He made a point of making sure everybody knew he was gay, saying he wanted that “out front” so nobody could use it against him. Actually, we don’t need anything to use against him. He is, like most other Democrats, a socialist. That’s enough. . . . BLAMING RACISM: The people who support Obama are already blaming racism for the fact he hasn’t “left Hillary in the dust,” that the election is still in doubt. It couldn’t be that he is a dedicated socialist who wants to spend trillions of dollars we don’t have on “programs” we don’t need, bankrupting this country and raising our taxes unmercifully, all to consolidate his, and other liberals’ power. No, it’s got to be racism. It’s a “made-to-order excuse.” . . . STUPID, STUPID! Democrat politician Mark Udall running ads about “drawing a line in the sand” to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil is ludicrous! He and his Democrat liberal pals, who will not let us drill domestically art PART OF THE PROBLEM! And he’s promising to be “the cure.” Sheesh!6
