Handing Nancy Her Head
August 28, 2008 | | Leave a Comment
HANDING NANCY HER HEAD: Nancy Pelosi said the other day that even the Catholic Church can’t say when a child conceived becomes a “human being” with rights. Now Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput “hands Nancy her head” when he corrects her ignorant statement (while other church officers did likewise). Good going, Nancy. Nothing you’ve said could do more to help McCain than this ignorant statement. (Hugh Hewitt) . . . IS BEING CATHOLIC GOOD? When John Kennedy ran for president, they were “sore afraid” that a Catholic president would be bad for this country (on both sides). What has changed? Political expediency? Now Obama’s VP candidate is “lauded” for being a “good Catholic.” I don’t think it makes any difference, one way or the other. . . . WHAT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Not Obama’s religion or lack of it; not his stance on abortion (in favor of murdering babies who survive abortions); it is his SOCIALISM and his PROMISE to raise our taxes mightily. . . . A “HISTORICAL FIGURE”: I’d hate to be a “historical figure” if that means I don’t have long to live, as is the case with Teddy Kennedy. If that’s “in bad taste,” then so be it. . . . MICHELLE OBAMA LOVES HER COUNTRY: That’s different from what she said before when she told us she was “ashamed” of her country until her husband started running for president. She changes things more often than her husband does. Maybe that’s what they mean by “change.” . . . THEIR “ELITIST ATTITUDE”: The Democrats are whining about the GOP “concentrating on our backdrop.” Actually, the backdrop reveals many things about them, and it DOES merit discussion. The Greek columns show their “elitist” attitude.
