Pot and Kettle

POT AND KETTLE: Democrats have a real litany of things Bush is supposed to have done to “hurt” America, most of which the Democrats, themselves, did. They really work hard to “fool the public” about Bush, and he’s not even running! I guess their scam is to “create a straw man,” (Bush) and run against him. . . . WHAT STUPID REMARKS! It really amazes me how stupid politicians (and even their wives) can be, and what they expect us to believe. Example: Republican Chuck Hagel’s wife says she now endorses Bark Obama. But she insists this is NOT “anti-McCain.” How stupid is that? How could it be otherwise? . . . SOCIALISM IS SOCIALISM! I just heard former Governor Bill Owens (while filling in for local radio host Mike Rosen) say “Socialism is government OWNERSHIP of the means of production” and government CONTROL is NOT. Maybe he should go back to school and find out government ownership AND control of the means of production are just two different KINDS of socialism (Socialism, AND communism and many other “isms” are ALL based on the old saw, “FROM each according to his ABILITY, and TO each according to his NEED,” Meaning it’s okay to steal from those who can, and do, EARN their own way, and GIVE to those who can’t or won’t, making NEED a DEMAND on the EARNINGS of others). And this guy used to be Colorado’s GOVERNOR and CLAIMS to be conservative! No wonder we now have a Democrat governor who is right now trying to raise taxes. . . . TWISTING IT AROUND: As recently as last July, Chris Dodd and other Democrats (his accomplices) were vehemently DEFENDING the failing Freddie Mac and Fannie May, government-controlled buyers of bad mortgages while the Republicans were trying (12 times) to “slow them down” and investigate their operations. Congressman Barney Frank, along with Franklin Raines, profited handsomely from Freddie and Fannie and profited by way of handsome political donations, yet former Gov. Owens says he “can’t say they did.” I can. The elected members of this triad got large political contributions from Freddie and Fannie, while Raines got millions of dollars in bonuses for phony “gains” before he was forced to resign as CEO and pay back some of it. . . . GROWING ANYWAY: During the last “energy crunch” in the seventies, Congress passed legislation to create the “Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)” to provide subsidies for “the poor” in response to the “energy crisis.” When energy prices went back down, LIHEAP continued to grow and searched for “new worlds to conquer,” as do most “government programs (Lack of any kind of need for a government program rarely kills it). Now energy prices are back up to seventies levels and LIHEAP is “poised” to “LEAP Into the Breach” and grow some more. People lined up around the block in heavy snow storms in the seventies, seeking assistance with their heating bills. Bureaucrats like that, and if radical environmentalists get their way, there will again be such lines, people will suffer, and the lines will grow longer. They love to see such suffering because it makes them feel “needed.” . . . THE “TRUTH HURTS”: Obama is making a list of things we aren’t allowed to say about him and his long association with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, and with racist pastor Jeremiah Wright and his 20 years in Wright’s congregation (he says he never heard anything like racism from Rev. Wright) is on that list. Maybe he just wasn’t listening. Many people just don’t listen in church. So also is the fact (not a rumor) that he is a SOCIALIST. People talk about his long association with terrorist bomber Ayers and he expects us to believe Ayers “was just somebody in the neighborhood.” He wants us to forget one of his first political rallies was held in Ayers’ home). He says we’re “just racist” if we say ANYTHING against him and are “Swiftboating him. About that, he’s right. “Swiftboating” is “telling the truth” about him. He doesn’t like that and wants us to stop. . . . “CALLING THEM NAMES”: Whenever McdCain, or anybody else, tells the truth about Obama, instead of ANSWERING the charges, he simply “calls them names,” saying they are “out of touch” or are trying to “change the subject” away from their own problems.

Politics gives me a headache 90% of the time. I know it is important to care about, but it seems like there is usually more BS then anything else.
Energy: You’re right. It IS mostly BS. But it’s BS we NEED to keep track of, or it will overtake us.
