RISING IN CHICAGO POLITICS: It’s not how much training and experience you have, it’s whose campaign you’ve contributed to. If you’re already in a position and someone comes along with “pull,” you’re out. That’s how Obama rose so quickly. He had the right friends so, in spite of a complete lack of qualifications, he was soon a state representative and then was being pushed for president, to get him out of Illinois so Mayor Daley wouldn’t have to run against him for governor.
MULTIPLE COMPUTER FAILURES: I’ve spent most of last week dealing with three computer failures. My main (and oldest) computer died; then the backup computer died. Then I bought another one and IT died. They had to wipe my hard drive (which had nothing much on it) and put in a new operating system. Luckily, most of my important stuff was backed up on a memory stick so I didn’t lose much (I hope) I spent most of the day today uploading software. I hope everything works right. I WAS able to post a couple of times over the weekend by using my son’s computer.
ELECTRIC CARS? That’s what Obama is pushing for. At the same time he wants to “bankrupt the coal industry.” I heard him say it so when he denies it in the future, remember, I’m a witness. Electric cars need to be charged, and electricity needs coal to generate it. So if Obama carries out his threat, there will be no place to plug in your electric car and it will then be a nice door stop. What planet is this guy from?
THE “DENVER NEWSPAPER ALLIANCE”: The minute they came up with that “Denver Newspaper Alliance” thing, I knew that was the “death knell” for the Rocky Mountain News because it was to be RUN by the Denver Post, the newspaper the “Rocky” was fighting for dominance. That’s like putting the fox in charge of running the hen’s life. Now the Rocky is up for sale and if a buyer is not found in a couple of months, they will fold. Not a surprise to those who pay attention.
“NEW” IDEAS? Everything “new” Obama is talking about trying has already been tried, and has failed, wherever it has been tried, here or elsewhere. But Obama is not smart enough to know that All he has is the old “tried and failed” Democrat (liberal, socialist) ideas.
HIGHER INFANT MORTALITY? The liberals like to point out that the United States is “behind” some third world countries in infant mortality, and they’re right. What they don’t tell you is that babies that would not even be delivered in some other countries because of a lack of know-how and modern technology are, in fact delivered and some still die because of incurable disease or illness and are THEN counted on our “infant mortality.” So we are “pilloried” because of our superior technology and know-how that allows more babies to be born in the first place. But you won’t hear that from liberals (Democrats)
MISRATING: Countries that are rated ahead of America on their health care are not. But they get that rating because they treat everybody equally and treat everybody whether or not they can pay for it. That somebody else has to pay doesn’t seem to bother them. They should not be rated “best” on this basis. They should be rated best if they ARE the best, Not because of “equal” faulty treatment, such as you find in Cuba, Canada, and England.
