Why Libertarians Fail

WHY LIBERTARIANS FAIL: I’d like to see them succeed. But as long as they try and build their party from the top down (fielding presidential candidates and not much else) they will fail because even if they win the presidency, they’ll face a Congress full of enemies; not to mention the bureaucracy. They need to build from the “ground” up, as the Democrats have. If you look at the “election commissioner” positions all over the country they’re mostly filled by Democrats. So who do you think will win if the race is close? They need to elect more dogcatchers and election officials, mayors, city councilmen, etc. Then they will have more of an infrastructure to help them. Something they don’t have now.
HOW DO YOU RECOGNIZE A LIBERAL BOOKSTORE? The answer is simple: there is no humor section because liberals have no sense of humor. They don’t even know the meaning of the word.
CESSPOOL: The Democrat Party is a “cesspool of socialist weenies.” That’s why me continue to move toward socialism no matter what party holds the White House. Liberals (socialists) are deeply entrenched in the bureaucracy and hold most of the academic posts, as well. They teach their students the “principles of socialism” as “something good.” So a true conservative is going to have a fight on his/her hands if he/she can even get elected. And even so, it’s going to be hard to get conservative principles voted in.
CLOSE GITMO? Obama wants to close GITMO. Which is yet another of his stupid ideas. If he DOES close it, what is he going to do with those hundreds of bloody murderers who all, to a man, want to kill us for not believing the same way they do? They have to be kept somewhere. If he releases them, they’ll just go back and kill more Americans and Iraqis. Just as the one for whom they paid for a prosthetic leg, then let him go. So a few months later he was killing again and was killed, himself. They should have killed him when they had him.
OBAMA’S NATIONAL HOLIDAY: The press is so enamored of Obama they want to create a national holiday in his honor. Who IS this jerk who came from nowhere and won the presidency that he should be the only one so honored BEFORE he even takes office? The main reason he won is because the press is in love with him and, like his chief opponent, would NEVER “speak ill” of him. Not REAL “ill, anyway.
OUTLAWING COMPETITION: It must be nice to be the government and be able to outlaw all your competition; such as private schools and privatizing Social Security so people can invest their own money instead of being FORCED to “contribute” to the government’s “pyramid scheme” called Social Security without being able to profit from the interest on that money (that profit goes to the government).

Amen, on getting libertarians to embrace a bottom-up approach. A presidential focus – whether it be for the Greens or Libertarians – hasn’t and won’t work.
