PORN HAS ITS HAND OUT: Predictably, with everyone else with their “hands out” for “bailout money,” even the porn industry is now demanding a bailout. Why am I not surprised?
BARNEY FRANK DISTORING HISTORY: He and his liberal friends are trying to change history. They CREATED the financial crisis, but he’s still blaming “too much regulation,” something that didn’t exist. It was HIS law forcing lenders to make loans that people couldn’t pay back, then talks about “too much regulation.” He gripes about “distortion,” but it is HIM that is distorting history.
IT’LL NEVER HAPPEN: Congress is soon going to vote on a measure that will allow ONE congressman to “raise a point of order” on ANY spending bill that is attached to another bill “in the dark of night,” forcing a vote on the attachment that could kill it. Congress will NEVER pass such a bill because it would put a stop to their “pork barrel” measures; unless they can find a way around it, as they did with the McCain-Feingold Act.
DASCHLE’S BAAACK! We thought we were rid of Tom Daschle when his constituents “threw him out” in his last election. But apparently being a “has-been” is the best way to gain an appointed office in a Democrat administration. That figures, since failure is a “résumé enhancement” to a Democrat.
JUST IN TIME FOR OBAMA’S “CORONATION”: The Washington Post declares the “unwinnable war” (“Grey man” Harry Reid) to be “over. Does anybody think Harry will come out and say he was wrong? Don’t anybody hold your breath unless blue is a good color for you.
WHY FRANCE IS IN TROUBLE: Under French law, multimillionaires Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are eligible for welfare. They can collect an “orphan allowance” of more than $1,500 a month for their adopted children and a “nanny payment of $975 a month for their own children. In America, people gripe about “rich people” who can collect Social Security, which is NOT welfare, but what about this?
ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH: “Obama admits that his ’stimulus plan’ of so-called tax cuts (they’re really welfare) won’t work. And where are the Republicans? Asleep in the back seat while we go off the cliff!” Rush Limbaugh) All “tax cuts” suggested by Obama are “targeted,” which means you have to do what you’re told to get them.
ATTACK SITE: Somebody has marked the Human Events web site as an “attack site,” but when you go to the “details” page (as most people do not do) they can’t point to a single reason for the designation. Google also Has so marked them, with similar results when you try to find out why. The difference with Google is they don’t give you a link to ignore the “warning” and bypass it so you have to find another way to get there.
TO HELL WITH THE LAW! The Democrats in Congress say, “To hell with the law. We’ll do what we want, regardless.” It makes no difference to us if the Illinois Secretary of State doesn’t have to sign off on the Burris nomination. We’re not going to seat him. Why am I not surprised the Democrats ignore the law? Maybe because they think they’re ABOVE the law.
WHAT THE HELL? Hamas sent THOUSANDS of rocket bombs into Israel and nobody (but the Israelis) said a word. As soon as Israel RETALIATED, “the world” (the ISLAMIC world, actually) screamed “war crimes!” and demanded a “cease fire.” What stupidity is this? Hamas uses as an excuse, “We didn’t kill anybody” while Israel killed many. Frankly, their incompetence doesn’t mean a thing. They sent rocket bombs indiscriminately into a sovereign country, then “screamed bloody murder” when they got some of the same, but with better targeting.
“IT’S FOR THE CHILDREN!” “Democrats take the first step towards national health care, claiming they’re doing it ‘for the children,’ who are up to thirty years old!” That’s the usual scam to get things passed that you might not want to see happen. Claim it’s “for the children.” But their definition of “children” extends to those up to THIRTY years of age! Are you really that stupid?
SO BUSH WASN’T LYING, AFTER ALL! “Obama suddenly realizes, hey, there are bad people at Guantanamo Bay. Closing it is going to be hard. Huh, I guess President Bush wasn’t lying about them, after all.” (Rush Limbaugh) I’ve said many times that closing Guantanamo was stupid, since we need a place to keep these murderous killers until the “war against terror” is over. If we close Gitmo, we’ll just have to open up another similar facility to house these prisoners, which will also get a “bad name,” since the liberals are constantly working to that end. Intelligent people realize that, IF they’re paying attention.
