Catching Osama (Not Obama) Not Important
January 21, 2009 | | 4 Comments
CATCHING OSAMA NOT IMPORTANT: After “flaying” George Bush for years for “not catching bin Laden,” Obama and his apostles are now saying “catching Osama is not important,” so not catching him will not be a negative for them as it was for Bush. Never mind he has been dead for years.
DEVASTATING TO SMALL BUSINESS: Obama says he will raise taxes on everybody making over $200,000 a year. Most small businesses (the backbone of our economy) fit that description and their owners mostly file as individuals. So that will devastate small business. Has Obama thought about that? Doubtful.
“MORE HEAT THAN LIGHT”: “Just like all his other speeches, President Barack Obama’s inaugural address delivered lofty rhetoric yesterday, but as is often common with Obama, the speech provided more heat than light when it came to tough issues.” (Heritage Foundation) In other words, it contained a lot of rhetoric and NO specifics.
OBAMA WANTS TO “LEAD FROM THE MIDDLE”: What a stupid thought! A leader must be IN FRONT of those he is leading, or he is not a leader. But this kind of muddled thinking is typical of Obama, so I’m not surprised.
HAMAS “HOLDING AMERICA RESPONSIBLE”: Hamas is good at deflecting responsibility for its murderous actions by blaming someone else, saying “they made me do it.” It’s a little like children fighting, both saying, “he started it!” Do they really think anybody but liberals will believe that blather.
REFUSING TO LOOK AT OBAMA: Some people think because I refused to watch the coronation that I’m “hiding” from what Obama’s going to do. Not even! I’m going to be all over him like a rash! But without having to listen to his slimy voice or look at his flapping ears. I’ll be looking at what he DOES, not what he SAYS.

Just curious Ray, who did you want to be president?

Kris: Neither one of the final candidates. If Sarah had been elevated to the top of the ticket, I’d have voted for her. I like Ron Paul, too. I just had a problem with his opposition to the Iraq war. If Fred Thompson had made it, I’d have voted for him. The “why” is that both are unashamed conservatives who want smaller government and less “drunken sailor” spending (Of course, drunken sailors are spending their own money, but politicians are spending ours).

“(Of course, drunken sailors are spending their own money, but politicians are spending ours).”
Made me laugh.

Kris: I wish I could claim that as mine, but I think it was Fred Thompson (or some other politician) who said it. But it is so true, I had to use it.
