It Only Took One Day

IT ONLY TOOK ONE DAY: Obama announced that he would not hire a lobbyist, and that people who lobbied his administration could never again be a lobbyist as long as he is president. The next day he appointed a lobbyist for his staff and “signed a waiver” of the new rule. Is this how he’s going to “govern?” So far, he has appointed a dozen lobbyists for his staff, giving them ALL “waivers.” Who does he think he’s fooling?
RATED LOWEST: A new Pew Poll shows that Americans rated man-made global warming LOWEST of twenty “concerns.” Personally, a Ray Thomas Poll doesn’t even SHOW it as a “concern.” It’s a swindle.
IT’S DIFFERENT NOW: Democrats and other liberals whined very loudly when then President Nixon wanted a billion dollar “stimulus package” to “jump-start” the economy. They made the same points we are now making about Obama’s stimulus package, mainly that it won’t work. But it’s different now; the Democrats are doing it, so it must be the right thing to do, even if he is spending not billions, but TRILLIONS of our dollars.
I DON’T SUPPORT OBAMA: Many people say they support Obama, but not his policies. That includes Rush Limbaugh, although he says it “tongue in cheek,” to emphasize the stupidity of people saying they “support the troops” in Iraq, but not their mission. I make no pretense of supporting Obama in ANY way. He is an anathema to me, and as long as he is president, our way of life is in danger.
“DOING ALL HE CAN”: Everybody says Obama is “doing all he can” to improve the economy after his cronies CAUSED the economic blowup” to gain control of the government again after the Republicans broke their 50 year stranglehold on it. Actually, everything he does is making it worse. He’s arrogant enough to THINK what he’s doing will “make it all better,” but every trillion dollars of our MONEY he gives away to those “eeeevil corporations” he has always said he hates digs us in deeper. He will NOT admit that making it better is as easy as lowering the tax rate for EVERYBODY to give investors INCENTIVE to invest in jobs-creating, profit-making projects that will make it ”all better” for all of us. He just isn’t WIRED that way.
AFGHANISTAN “NEGOTIATING” WITH TALIBAN: Why? The Taliban were defeated and that’s the only reason Karzai was allowed to be elected president. So why allow them to become part of the government and impose their rules on the populace again? This time with the APPROVAL of the sitting president? Is this why Karzai is “following the terrorist line” and accusing America of “killing civilians” when they went in and killed some terrorists (who just happen to BE civilians)? Frankly, it’s impossible to tell the difference between normal “civilians” and terrorist “civilians” these days. I guess if that “civilian” has a gun pointed at you he is a terrorist “civilian” and can be killed.
