California Holding Republicans Hostage
February 17, 2009 | | Leave a Comment
CALIFORNIA HOLDING REPUBLICANS HOSTAGE: They’re one vote short in passing their latest spending bill in the California Legislature. So they’ve locked the doors and will not let Republicans out until ONE of them puts his convictions aside and votes THEIR way.
“GETTING BEYOND REAGAN”: Liberals (Democrats) say Republicans need to “get beyond Reagan.” Why? Reagan stopped the economic slowdown the Democrats caused way back then with “conservative principles.” So WHY should Republicans abandon those principles? Probably because they WORK, and the Democrats can’t have that.
LOSING HER HEAD: Did you hear about the Muslim man who started a pro-Islam television station to “counter” the “bad press” Muslims have been getting who is now under arrest for BEHEADING his wife? Yeah; that’s a good way to “counter” the bad rap they’ve been getting.
THE “BEGINNING OF THE END”: Obama himself said it. But he didn’t mean it the same way human beings do. I see it as the “beginning of the end” of this country as a free nation (if it ever was). Signing of this bill did many things; first among them is the creation of a “health czar” who has the power to VETO life-saving treatment for you or a loved one if he thinks it will cost the government too much.
DESTROYING “WELFARE REFORM”: “The Porkulus bill of 2008 does just that. Gone is the work requirement, and states will again get more money for all the people they sign up on the federal dole.” Paying states for signing up people for the dole. It’s like a pyramid scheme, only this one is “legal.” Obama wanted to destroy the “welfare reform” law Clinton was forced to sign, and this one did it, within three weeks of him taking office. What a con man!
DESTROYING INDUSTRIES: Obama can destroy industries with a stroke of a pen. He has destroyed many of them with the new law outlawing products that contain too much lead. “The assault on capitalism and businesses continues. Now, dirt bikes are said to have too much lead — and kids lick their bikes, right? The rule may lead to burning pre-1985 textbooks for “contamination.” How many industries can THAT destroy?
