They’re Baaack!

THEY’RE BAAACK! GM and Chrysler say they need a LOT more money in order to survive, and those gullible politicians in Washington will no doubt give it to them. Next will come the bankers, then the mortgage brokers, etc., etc., until EVERYBODY gets some more money at the expense of the rest of us. Thereby showing that “rewarding the losers” is now the way things are in this country. I’m going to start a business, let it fail, then put in for a “bailout.” I probably won’t get it. It won’t be big enough.
MORE OF THE SAME: Lenders making bad loans with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae buying them up is what CAUSED the “economic meltdown.” So Obama is going to let Fannie and Freddie make even MORE bad loans to “solve the problem.” Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result?
THE “I” PRESIDENT: When presidents sign things into law, they’re usually accompanied by many people, mostly those who had something to do with its passage. Not this time. This time it was “all Obama” and every third word out of his mouth was “I.” That’s the way it’s going to be in this presidency. It’s all going to be Obama (unless he provably screws up).
OBAMA: NO FAIRNESS DOCTRINE: He said it! I heard it! But it will come, and they will call it something else. That’s how they do things in Obama’s Washington. He has said that he does not support a “fairness doctrine,” but he IS in favor of its goal, which is censorship of people who speak out against him. They say they won’t do something, then they do it, calling it something else.
“GOVERNING FROM THE CENTER”: “Nationalization of banks. Fascist government control of industry. Is this the ‘governing from the center’ that you conservatives who fell in love with Obama promised during the campaign?” (Rush Limbaugh)
OBAMA’S “LURCH TO THE LEFT”: “Liberal blogs fear a silent majority rebellion against Obama’s lurch to the left, ’cause this is not the hope and change they were promised. Rush will wait and see if this is borne out at the ballot box.” (Rush Limbaugh) I sure hope so. And I’ll be watching, too. I fully expect him to “overreach” so much he disgusts even his biggest current supporters. He’s a lot less popular today than he was a month ago. I hope that soon the “lovefest” will be over.
